If you are a rideshare driver, you may be aware of the ruling, on bringing a lawsuit against UBER or LYFT, and the New York court’s holding that arbitration was to be compelled. You may review that case opinon here. Many UBER and LYFT drivers call our law firm asking how they can proceed with arbitration against UBER or LYFT. You can find the directives for each rideshare company below.
ARBITRATION WITH UBER
Initiating Arbitration. In order to initiate arbitration following the conclusion of the informal dispute resolution process required by this Section, a party must provide the other party with a written demand for arbitration and file the demand with the applicable arbitration provider, as determined by Section 2(c). A party initiating an arbitration against Uber must send the written demand for arbitration to Uber Technologies, Inc., LLC, Attn: Legal Department, 1515 3rd Street, San Francisco, CA 94158, or serve the Demand on Uber’s registered agent for service of process, c/o Uber Technologies, Inc. (the name and current contact information for the registered agent in each state are available online here). Additionally, a party initiating arbitration against Uber must send an electronic version of the demand for arbitration to the Arbitration Provider, and must send an electronic version of the as-filed demand to filed-arbitration-demands@uber.com.
ARBITRATION WITH LYFT
Before initiating any arbitration or proceeding, you and Lyft may agree to first attempt to negotiate any dispute, claim or controversy between the parties informally for 30 days, unless this time period is mutually extended by you and Lyft. A party who intends to seek negotiation under this subsection must first send to the other a written notice of the dispute (“Notice”). The Notice must (1) describe the nature and basis of the claim or dispute; and (2) set forth the specific relief sought. All offers, promises, conduct and statements, whether oral or written, made in the course of the negotiation by any of the parties, their agents, employees, and attorneys are confidential, privileged and inadmissible for any purpose, including as evidence of liability or for impeachment, in arbitration or other proceeding involving the parties, provided that evidence that is otherwise admissible or discoverable shall not be rendered inadmissible or as this could violate HIPAA non-discoverable as a result of its use in the negotiation.
…
Except as explicitly stated otherwise, any notices to Lyft shall be given by certified mail, postage prepaid and return receipt requested to Lyft, Inc., 548 Market Street, #68514 San Francisco, CA 94104. Any notices to you shall be provided to you through the Lyft Platform or given to you via the email address or physical address you provide to Lyft during the registration process.

Boualem – Rideshare Driver
While all other offices turned me down because they deemed my cause unworthy of fighting for, Mr. Sean J. O’Bryan, was the only attorney who widely opened his office and decided to retain my case. Always available when needed and responded to my inquiries in timely manners. I highly recommend any Uber/Lyft drivers to reach out to them in case of accidents/injuries.

Sean was great to work with. He was able to recover damages even after several lawyers told me I didn’t have a case! He was very responsive and took time to explain things.
